This chapter shall apply to the creation of the Sustainability
Advisory Board and to the appointment, terms, functions and powers
of the members appointed to serve on the Board.
The Town Board determines that in order to continue to protect
and safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the Town of Perinton
and its residents, the Town will draw upon its rich history of citizen
involvement and volunteerism to enhance the quality of life in the
Town by establishing the Sustainability Advisory Board.
The Town Board shall designate a member of the Sustainability
Advisory Board to act as Chairperson thereof. At the first meeting
of the Board, its members shall elect from among themselves a Recording
Secretary. The Board shall adopt rules and procedures for its meetings.
It shall keep adequate records of its meetings and activities. The
Board shall hold meetings at such times and places as its members
shall determine, from time to time, but no less frequently than once
per calendar quarter. The Board shall report to the Town Board on
its activities at least annually.
The members of the Board, including ex-officio members, shall
receive no compensation for their services as members thereof but
may be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in
the performance of their duties within the appropriations made available
therefor.
