It is hereby declared to be the intention of the Township of Reserve that upon the establishment of the County Department of Health of Allegheny County, the Township of Reserve will cease to exercise any of the public health functions vested in it by law and become subject to the jurisdiction of the said County Department of Health.

Upon the establishment of the County Department of Health of Allegheny County, the Board of Health of the Township of Reserve shall be dissolved and shall cease to exercise the powers vested by law in such Board of Health, except that the dissolution of the Township of Reserve Board of Health shall not remove from the Township of Reserve the power granted to it by law to erect, purchase, or raise, and administer hospitals, either separately or jointly with another political subdivision; provided, that the Township of Reserve retains its police power to enforce and abate local violations and nuisances.
Any ordinance or part of ordinance conflicting with the provisions of this chapter are hereby repealed.
