Editor's Note: As provided by Ord. No. 3:6-79, adopted 3-29-1979, rates shall apply to all water used on or after 4-1-1979. Original Art. IV, which immediately followed this article and provided for fire protection facilities was repealed at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I).

Water shall be distributed through meters by the Borough of Bellmawr through its present distributing system and any additions or extensions made thereto, and the users thereof shall pay the Borough according to the following rates:
A. 
Water rates. The rate for all users shall be as follows:
(1) 
Said consumers who are users of a meter shall pay a minimum charge for service based on the size of the meter (5/8 inch, one inch, 1 1/2 inches, two inches, three inches and four inches) as provided in Chapter 210, Fees, for each three-month or quarterly period, for which said consumer or user shall receive or be entitled to a maximum of 6,000 gallons of water during such period, except as set forth below:

B. 
Fire protection. The annual rate for fire protection facilities as set forth in Chapter 210 of the Code of the Borough of Bellmawr shall be amended to read as follows:

C. 
Rates effective. Rates shall be effective commencing with the initiation of the 4th Quarter billings of each year identified herein.

It is further the specific intent of this article that each unit, whether it is a single-family home, apartment or motel, shall be charged a separate minimum charge for service as set forth in the rate schedule hereinabove in § 450-21A.
All builders, developers or contractors that desire to connect water service to the present water distribution system or additions or extensions thereto of the Borough may be permitted to do so after securing consent from the Borough. After receipt of such consent, connection may be made upon the following terms and conditions:
A. 
All mains, connections, manholes, etc., shall be installed at the expense of such builder, etc.
B. 
Locations, grades and specifications are to be furnished by the Borough Engineer and approved by him prior to use.
C. 
Upon completion of said installation and connection, all mains, connections, manholes, etc., shall become the sole and exclusive property of the Borough.
