Menominee Tribal Ordinance No. 79-16, titled "Tribal Government Plan," its amendments and motions thereto pertaining are hereby repealed and replaced by this chapter.
Any reference in a law, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the Menominee Indian Tribe to the ordinance referred to in § 98-2 of this chapter shall be deemed to be a reference to this chapter.
The purpose of this chapter is twofold: to provide for the administrative structure of the Tribe and to establish committees deemed appropriate to provide research, investigation and advisory assistance to the Menominee Tribal Legislature in the exercise of its power.
A. 
This plan for the administration of the tribal government is adopted pursuant to Article IV, Section 7 of the Tribal Constitution and Bylaws. This plan for the establishment of community and legislative committees of the Tribal Legislature is adopted pursuant to Article IV, Section 6 and Bylaw I, Section 2 of the Constitution and Bylaws, respectively.
B. 
Legislative committees shall be established for a period of one year; provided, however, that committees shall continue to serve until the Tribal Legislature restructures such committees each year.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CHAIRPERSON
The person of the Menominee Tribal Legislation.
LEGISLATURE
The Menominee Tribal Legislature, the duly elected governing body of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.
TRIBAL MEMBER
Any enrolled member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.
TRIBE
The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.
