For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property arising from fire or explosion, there is hereby adopted by the Mayor and Council of Chesapeake City the State of Maryland Fire Prevention Code issued pursuant to § 6-206 of the Public Safety Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The State of Maryland Fire Prevention Code shall be controlling within the corporate limits of Chesapeake City.
