A. 
In the event any provision, section, sentence, clause or part of this chapter shall be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, sections, sentences, clauses, or parts of this chapter; it being the intent of the City of Monessen that the remainder of the Ordinance shall be and shall remain in full force and effect.
B. 
It is hereby declared that it was the intention of the council of the City of Monessen that the provisions of this chapter shall be severable and that if any court of proper jurisdiction holds any provisions of this chapter, or the application of any provisions of this chapter to any circumstances, to be illegal or unconstitutional, then the other provisions of this chapter or the applications of such other provisions to other circumstances, shall remain in full force and effect.
All ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions or code sections insofar as they are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed and rescinded to the extent of any such conflict.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to abridge or alter the remedies now existing at common law, by statute or by ordinance, but the provisions of this chapter are in addition to such remedies.
