The regulations established in this article shall apply where
connection cannot be made to the Nassau County Sewer System and where
the construction and use of on-site sanitary waste system is permitted
by the Building Department.
A. Prior to the construction and use of an on-site sanitary waste system
a written permit must be obtained from the Board of Trustees.
B. The fee for an on-site sanitary waste system permit (if permitted)
shall be set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
C. Application for the permit required by Subsection
A shall be made in the same manner set forth in §
103-10.
D. The Village may at any time revoke a permit granted hereunder upon
recommendation of the Enforcement Officer or the Nassau County Health
Department by reason of an unsanitary or unhealthful condition existing
or created by the use of such on-site sanitary waste system or by
reason of the construction of available or accessible public sewer
facilities capable of serving the property in question.
E. On-site sanitary waste systems shall be constructed in accordance
with the rules and regulations of all agencies having jurisdiction
thereof.
F. All on-site sanitary waste systems shall be pumped at the direction
of the property owner or at the direction of the Village if a violation
of the Village Code shall occur. The cost of pump-outs shall be the
responsibility of the property owner. All pumped matter shall be removed,
transported and disposed of by persons duly licensed by agencies having
jurisdiction thereof.
