The provisions of this Charter and amendments thereto shall
become effective upon adoption by the voters of the City of Middletown;
except as otherwise specifically set forth in the Charter.
If any provisions of this Charter shall be held to be invalid
for any reason, the remaining provisions of this Charter shall not
be affected by such determination and shall remain in full force and
effect.
Those Chapters of the General Statutes pertaining to "Municipal
Sewerage Systems," and "Uniform Fiscal Years," are hereby adopted.
