The purposes of this district are as follows:
A. 
To continue to provide for personal agricultural and horticultural pursuits, which are part and parcel of a low-density, rural quality of life.
B. 
To allow for the harmonious coexistence of residential and agricultural uses and the minimization of adverse impacts sometimes associated with agriculture.
C. 
To provide multiple development options for low-density housing in appropriate locations and to permit limited public and quasi-public uses appropriate for low-density residential neighborhoods.
D. 
To protect existing and future residential areas from incompatible land use changes and intrusions which could cause deterioration.
E. 
To meet minimum standards of health, safety and welfare by protecting against hazards and nuisances.
F. 
To provide for adequate daylight, ventilation, quiet, privacy and appropriate recreational opportunities.
G. 
To prevent the overcrowding of land caused by excessive densities.
A. 
Permitted uses.

Single-family dwelling;

Agricultural and horticultural uses except for maintenance of kennels;

Sustainable forestry activities in accordance with accepted silvicultural best management practices

Conditional uses.

Public and private nursery, kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools;

Churches and other places of worship;
(3) 
Public park and open space;

Community sewer system;
(5) 
Community water system.
C. 
Accessory uses. Uses incidental but consistent with the primary use as listed above; home occupations.

Single-family dwelling: one acre per dwelling unit;

Two-family dwelling: 0.75 acre per dwelling unit.

On a local street the minimum access spacing shall be 50 feet.
