A. 
For purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
(1) 
"U.S. Route 301" shall mean southbound U.S. Route 301 unless otherwise noted;
(2) 
"City boundary" shall mean the City boundary as it exists as of the effective date of this section, as amended on the second day of March 2026; and
(3) 
References to the point of intersection of a right-of-way line or property line and a center right-of-way line shall assume, unless otherwise indicated, the continuation of the right-of-way line or property line to the center right-of-way line.
B. 
For purposes of municipal elections, the City of Bowie is hereby divided into the four Council election districts, which are generally described below. The City's website shall contain a map that accurately depicts each election district.
(1) 
Council District I - includes the neighborhoods of Adnell Woods, Old Chapel, Old Chapel Estates, Bowie Station, Colts Neck, Huntington, Huntington Crest, Northridge, Rolling Hills, Belair Greens, Belair Town II, Chapel Forge, Heartfields (Assisted Living Facility), Idlewild, Meadowbrook (North and East of Millstream Drive), Overbrook, Rockledge, Saddlebrook, Saddlebrook West, Victoria Heights, Whitehall, and Yorktown.
(2) 
Council District II - includes the neighborhoods of Belair Town, Bowie Forest, Buckingham, Derbyshire, Fairview, Forest Hills, Foxhill, Glenridge, Grady's Walk, Highbridge Park, Kenilworth, Longridge, Melford, Meadowbrook (south and west of Millstream Drive), Somerset, Somerset Park, Stewart's Landing, and Tulip Grove.
(3) 
Council District III - containing two noncontiguous geographical areas inclusive of the following subdivisions: the neighborhoods of Allen Pond, Governor's Green Apartments, Alvista Bowie Apartments, Bowen Apartments, Bowie Commons, Bowie New Town Center Condos, Brookdale Woodward Estates (Assisted Living Facility), Covington (north of Excalibur Road), Dixon Crossing, Enfield Chase, Ensleigh, Essington, Evergreen Apartments (Senior Apartments), Evergreen Estates, Heather Hills, Heather Ridge Apartments, Longleaf, Mill Branch Crossing, Northview, Oak Pond, Old Stage, Palisades, Patuxent Overlook, Pin Oak Village, Princeton Square, Spring Meadows, Vistas at Bowie, Westview, The Willows (Senior Apartments), Woodmore Estates, Woodmore Highlands and Woodland Lake Condos.
(4) 
Council District IV - includes the neighborhoods of Amber Meadows, Amber Meadows II, Ashleigh, Ashleigh Station, Collington Manor, Collington Ridge, Collington Station, Covington (South of Excalibur Road), Devonshire Estates, Glen Allen, Graystone, Grovehurst, Lake Village Manor, Mitchellville East, Oaktree, Peach Preserve, Pointer Ridge, Ridgeview Estates, South Lake, Tall Oaks Crossing, Ternberry, and The Hamptons at Woodmore.
C. 
A more detailed description of the election districts shall be maintained in the City Clerk's Office.
