The town council hereby adopts the 2018 edition of the International Plumbing Code. Copies of the code and the amendments thereto, as referenced in this section, are on file in the office of the town secretary for permanent record and inspection. In addition thereto, the town council hereby adopts the recommended amendments to the 2018 International Plumbing Code prepared by the North Central Texas Council of Governments, which are attached to Ordinance 20-1112A adopted 11/12/20 as attachment G. Attachment G is not set out herein, but is on file and available for inspection in the office of the town secretary. The chief building official, or his authorized representative, is hereby authorized and directed to enforce all provisions of the International Plumbing Code, as adopted herein and as amended.

(a) 
Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this division shall be fined as provided for in the general penalty provision found in section 1.01.009 of this code for each offense involving fire safety or public health and sanitation and shall be fined as provided for in the general penalty provision found in section 1.01.009 of this code for all other offenses. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
(b) 
The town may also bring suit for injunction against any person, firm or corporation that violates or threatens to violate any of the provisions of this division, in order to prevent a continued violation or threatened violation.
