A.
The following signs may be erected:
1.
Without permit, one (1) unlighted real estate "for sale" or "for rent" sign per lot, not exceeding six (6) square feet in area. Corner lots may have two (2) such signs. No such real estate sign shall be greater than four (4) feet above ground level.

Without permit, one (1) real estate "open" sign per lot, which shall be removed within twenty-four (24) hours after its erection.
3.
Real estate signs advertising a "sold" residence must be removed one (1) weekend after the residence is sold by contract, regardless of closing.

Without permit, one (1) unlighted political advertising sign not exceeding six (6) square feet in area, per lot. Corner lots may have two (2) such signs. Political signs shall not be displayed more than two (2) weeks prior to or one (1) day after an election. Only political advertising signs depicting propositions or candidates on the ballot in Uplands Park are permitted.
5.
Without permit, two (2) unlighted "garage sale" signs, each not exceeding six (6) square feet in area. Only one (1) such sign permitted per lot. Each garage sale sign must contain the address of the place of garage sale and shall be removed within two (2) days of its erection.
6.
Signs in residential areas are restricted to not more than two (2) sign faces and three (3) colors.
7.
Signs drawing attention to or advertising a "home occupation" are prohibited.
