No connections shall be made to a sanitary sewer in which connections
are intended to discharge inflow. Such prohibited connections include,
but are not limited to, footing drains, garage drains, roof leaders,
roof drains, cellar drains, sump pumps, catch basins, noncontact cooling
water which has no chance of being contaminated or polluted, or industrial
process water discharges, swimming pools, or other sources of inflow.
Exceptions will not be permitted unless authorized in writing by the
Chief Plant Operator and/or Superintendent of Sewers for the Town
of Webster Sewer Department.
Connections which contribute inflow to the sanitary sewers must
be disconnected in a fashion approved by the Chief Plant Operator
and/or Superintendent of Sewers or authorized representative at the
expense of the owner. Authorized representatives of the Chief Plant
Operator and/or Superintendent of Sewers, Commissioner of Public Works,
EPA, NYSDEC, NYSDOH, and/or Monroe County Health Department shall
be given access to all properties to inspect for inflow sources.
It shall be a willful violation of this chapter for any person to reconnect any inflow source which has been disconnected pursuant to this article. (See Article
XII.)
