(a) Construction
code permit fees shall be paid in accordance with the following fee
schedule. Unlisted fees shall be determined by ordinance.
(b) Building.
(1) The
following fee schedule is adopted for all commercial construction:

(B) Plan-checking fees.
A plan-checking fee shall be paid
at the time of submitting plans and specifications for checking. Said
plan-checking fee shall be equal to one-half of the building permit
fee. Such plan checking fee is in addition to the building permit
fee.
(2) In addition to the fee schedule adopted in subsection
(1), the following fee schedule shall also apply:
(A) Permit fees for new single-family dwellings shall be as follows:
$0.35 per square foot.
(B) For all residential building permits that require plans to be submitted,
a planchecking fee shall be paid at the time of submitting plans and
specifications for checking. Said plan-checking fee shall be equal
to one-half of the building permit fee. Such plan checking fee is
in addition to the building permit fee.
(C) Permit fee for structures under 500 square feet with a concrete foundation
is a base fee of $50.00 plus $.08 a square foot. Permit fee for structures
under 500 square feet without concrete foundation is $25.00.
(D) Permit fee for structures over 500 square feet with a concrete foundation
is a base fee of $100.00 plus $.08 a square foot. Permit fee for structures
over 500 square feet without concrete foundation is $25.00.
(E) Permit fee for open air patio covers (including outdoor kitchen)
with or without screens and no solid walls is $ a flat fee of $15.00.
(F) Permit fee for front porches up to 4’ x 6’ on mobile
homes, open air with no solid walls, is $25.00. The 6’ dimension
shall be parallel to the mobile home and the roof shall be the same
height as the home roof above the entrance door, front or rear, with
a minimum of ten feet separating the two structures.
(G) Reinspection fee is $50.00 for the first reinspection, and the fee
increases in increments of $25.00 each for each subsequent reinspection.
(H) Permit fee for re-roof of any residential structure is $15.00, all
other structures to be based on the commercial valuation table.
(I) Permit fee for any build-out with no additional square footage is
$ 15.00 for single-family residential structures. All other structures
to be based on the commercial valuation table.
(J) In addition to the fees set out above, the applicant shall pay an
application fee of $30.00.
(K) Moving fee for the moving of any building or structure shall be $100.00.
(L) Demolition fee for the demolition of any building or structure, the
fee shall be:

house water supply: $10.00.
(8) Each
house water supply repair: $10.00.
(9) Disconnect
and plug main sewer trap: $10.00.
(10) Catchbasins and area drains: $5.00.
(11) Roof or outside drain connected to drain system: $5.00.
(12) Water piping for water treatment equipment: $5.00.
(13) Lawn sprinkler with 5 heads: $10.00.
(14) Each additional sprinkler head: $1.50.
(15) 1st reinspection: $50.00. Fee increases in increments of $25.00 for
each subsequent reinspection.
(16) Fire sprinkler system per head: $1.50.
(d) Gas.
(1) Application
preparation: $30.00.
(2) Minimum
fee to 5 outlets: $15.00.
(3) Each
additional outlet: $1.00.
(4) Gas
fixtures (furnace, A/C, etc., per unit): $10.00.
(5) 1st
reinspection: $50.00. Fee increases in increments of $25.00 for each
subsequent reinspection.
(e) Mechanical.
(1) Application

(A) Up to/not including 1/2HP: $1.00.
(B) 1/2HP/less than 10HP: $5.00.
(C) 10HP/less than 50HP: $8.00.
(D) 50HP/less than 100HP: $12.00.
(E) 100HP/less than 150HP: $15.00.
(17) Signs: Sign install inspect K/VA: $6.00.
(18) 1st reinspection: $50.00. Fee increases in increments of $25.00 for
each subsequent reinspection.
(g) Fire
alarm fees.
(1) Application
preparation: $30.00.
(2) $1,000.00-$50,000.00:
$15.00. Plus $5.00/th over $1,000 or fraction.
(3) $50,001.00-$100,000.00:
$260.00. Plus $4.00/th over $50,000 or fraction.
(4) 1st

subsequent reinspection.
(h) Construction
of patios with no cover, driveways, parking lots and sidewalks.
(1) Application
preparation: $30.00.
(3) Each
additional driveway: $4.50.
(4) Flatwork,
parking lots and paved areas:
(A) Up to 1,000 square feet: $30.00.
(B) Each additional 1,000 square feet: $1.50.
(5) Sidewalks
and/or walkways.
(A) First 100 linear feet: $15.00.
(B) Each additional 100 linear feet: $3.00.
(C) 1st reinspection: $50.00. Fee increases in increments of $25.00 for
each subsequent reinspection.
(i) Dumpster
enclosure and pad:
$50.00.
(j) Swimming;
pools including pool deck.
(1) Application
preparation: $30.00.
(4) 1st
reinspection: $50.00. Fee increases in increments of $25.00 for each
subsequent reinspection.
(k) Double
fee for commencing work without permit.
Where work for
which a permit is required by this code is started or proceeded with
prior to obtaining said permit, the fees herein specified shall be
double, but the payment of such double fee shall not relieve any person
from fully complying with the requirements of this code in the execution
of the work nor from any other penalties prescribed herein.

(a) Development
plan filing fee.
No land shall be developed for use as
a manufactured home park and no plan for such park shall be filed
or recorded until submitted to the planning commission for approval.
Such plan shall be accompanied by a filing fee of fifty dollars ($50.00).
(b) License
fee.
The annual license fee for each manufactured home
park shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per year or fraction thereof
for the first two (2) mobile home spaces and a two dollar ($2.00)
fee for each additional manufactured home space. The fee for the transfer
of such license shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

(a) The
applicant shall pay a fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) to the city
for the permit at the time of filing the application.
(b) The
applicant shall pay a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) to the city
for life safety inspection for reconnect for electrical service.

(a) Building
permit.
(1) Site
inspections:
(A) Ground, projecting or portable signs: $40.00.
(B) Wall, roof, marquee or canopy signs: $20.00.
(C) Site reinspection fee: $20.00.
(2) Construction
or reconstruction:
(A) For 1st 50 square feet of sign face: $20.00.
(B) Each square foot or fraction thereof exceeding 50 square feet: $0.15.
(3) 1st
reinspection: $50.00. Fee increases in increments of $25.00 for each
subsequent reinspection.
(b) Operating
permit.
Each application for an operating permit shall
be accompanied by a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each sign
for which a permit is sought.
(c) No
refund of fees.
The applicant for a permit or holder
of a permit shall not be entitled to a refund of any fee paid in case
the permit is revoked.
(d) Deposit
or bond.
When any work on a sign or sign structure is
to be done beyond the curbline or on or above public property which
may cause the city to sustain loss, damage or injury to public property,
or to be put to expense in correcting conditions resulting therefrom,
the sign administrator shall require the person proposing to do such
work to furnish a bond in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars
($25,000.00), in the form determined by the city legal department,
or to post a deposit of a like amount, to indemnify the city against
any cost that may be incurred or any loss, damage or injury that may
be sustained by the city because of such work, and as a guarantee
of compliance with applicable laws and ordinances. Such required bond
or deposit shall be furnished or posted before any permit is issued
to work.
(e) Unlawful
signs in right-of-way.
Any sign so held may be redeemed
by the owner thereof upon the payment of a fee to the city through
the sign administrator, consisting of a total of fifty dollars ($50.00)
for hauling the same to storage plus ten dollars ($10.00) per day
storage fee for each day the sign is stored. Such fee shall be in
addition to and not in lieu of any fine imposed upon such owner. Any
sign impounded and stored and not redeemed by the owner thereof within
thirty (30) days may be sold at public auction in the same manner
as surplus or abandoned property of the city.

Each application shall be accompanied by a fee of twenty-five
dollars ($25.00). In the event final inspection reveals the installation
does not comply with the specifications.

The annual fee for contractor registration is $100.00 plus an
administration fee of $100.00 per year or any part thereof. This will
be good for a 12-month period from the date the application is processed.

(a) Commercial:
$750.00 for appeals of any contested decision involving any
commercial structure, including commercial homebuilders constructing
custom homes or homes for speculation.
(b) Homeowner:
$200.00 for any appeal from a homeowner who occupies the building
or structure involved in the decision being appealed.
(c) Request
for staff review:
(1) $200.00
for any review of the appeal beyond the initial review by city personnel
either prior to filing or after filing for each review requested;
(2) $50.00
for a review of appeal made by the owner-occupied structure/use made
the basis of the appeal.
