In addition to the requirements articulated in state law, the
driver of a vehicle intending to turn at an intersection shall do
so as follows:
(1) Approach for a left turn from a two-way street into a one-way street
shall be made in that portion of the right half of the roadway nearest
the centerline thereof and by passing to the right of such centerline
where it enters the intersection. A left turn from a one-way street
into a two-way street shall be made by passing to the right of the
centerline of the street being entered upon leaving the intersection.
(2) Approach for a left turn from a one-way street into a two-way street
shall be made as near as practical to the left-hand curb or roadway
edge of the one-way street.
(3) When markers, buttons or signs are placed within or adjacent to intersections,
thereby requiring and directing that a different course from that
specified in this section be traveled by vehicles turning at an intersection,
no driver of a vehicle shall turn a vehicle at an intersection other
than as directed and required by such markers, buttons or signs.

The traffic engineer is hereby authorized to determine those
intersections at which drivers of vehicles shall not make a right
turn, left turn or U-turn, and shall place proper signs at such intersections.
The making of such turns may be prohibited between certain hours of
any day and permitted at other hours, in which event the same shall
be plainly indicated on the signs or they may be removed when such
turns are permitted.

The driver of any vehicle shall not turn such vehicle so as
to proceed in the opposite direction upon any street unless such movement
can be made in safety and without interfering with other traffic.

It shall be unlawful for any person operating a motor vehicle
to make a left turn with such vehicle into or out of an alley, driveway
or building if such left turn is made across a painted traffic island
or across a raised median divider on such street, roadway or highway.
