For the purposes of this division, the term “swimming pool” or “pool” shall mean any swimming pool owned and operated by the city, including bathhouses and other appurtenances thereto.

The charges for use of the swimming pools shall be such as are established from time to time by the city council.

Swimming meets and races may be had by arrangement with the city manager’s representative. Participants therein will be under the same rules and regulations as any other person using the pool.

The following rules of conduct shall be in force at all times and all persons using the bathhouse or pool or pool area shall be subject to such rules:
(1) 
There shall be no drinking of intoxicating liquors.
(2) 
There shall be no eating or smoking in the pool or within the pool area.
(3) 
There shall be no rough play or rowdyism.
(4) 
Spitting in or in any way contaminating the pool or dressing rooms is prohibited.
(5) 
All bathers shall be required to use shower bath and soap and to empty bladders before entering the pool.
(6) 
Department of state health services rules for sanitation and safety shall be strictly enforced at all times.
(7) 
The managers and guards are charged with the responsibility of maintaining the highest moral standards at all times.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to go in the bathhouse or any part thereof or in the pool or within the defined pool area without first having authority to do so by payment of the regular fee or by special permission of the pool manager.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to go in the bathhouse or swimming pool area at a time which has been set aside and designated by the pool manager for a special class, when such person is not included in such class or does not belong thereto.

It shall be unlawful for any person to refuse or fail to leave the bathhouse, swimming pool or pool area when ordered or requested so to do by the pool manager or any of his assistants in charge of the building and pool.

It shall be unlawful for any person to purposely disturb or interfere with any other person in or on the pool area or to make improper remarks or comments to or about any such person, or to occupy, injure, remove or tamper with any property on or in the pool or bathhouse area belonging to or in control of any other person, or to remove from the bathhouse, pool or pool area any towels, suits or property not belonging to the person removing the same.

It shall be unlawful for any person to refuse or fail to obey, observe or comply with any rule or regulation governing and relating to the use by patrons of the building, pool or pool area governed by this division, whether or not such rule is published or posted or such person is informed of same by any officer or agent of the city on duty at the pool.
