A person convicted of a nonjailable misdemeanor offense, including a criminal violation of a municipal ordinance, shall pay the local consolidated fee established under state law as a court cost, in addition to all other costs, on conviction.
The city treasurer, upon receipt of payment of the local consolidated fee, shall allocate the local consolidated fee to the accounts and funds pursuant to state law with no individual fund receiving less than the minimum percentages stated therein.
The city treasurer shall maintain in the city treasury funds or accounts to which money is allocated under state law. Money in an account maintained under this section may be used only for the purposes provided by state law.
