(a)
Authorized.
(2)
The city council may waive a fee under subsection (a)(1) of this section if:
(A)
The project is sponsored by the city or other governmental entity;
(B)
The project is sponsored by a nonprofit organization for the purpose of improving the neighborhoods and reducing the number of substandard structures in the city;
(C)
The project is included in a program intended to promote economic development in the city; or
(D)
The city council determines that the waiver will provide a similar public benefit to the city.
(3)
A fee may be waived under this section upon the request of an applicant or upon the initiative of the city council.
(b)
Provisions cumulative; conflicting regulations.
This section shall be cumulative of all provisions of ordinances and of this code as amended, except where the provisions of this section are in direct conflict with the provisions of such ordinances and such code, in which event the conflicting provisions of such ordinances and such code are repealed.
