The mayor is hereby authorized to offer a standing reward of three hundred dollars ($300.00), payable to any person furnishing information leading to the arrest and final conviction under the Texas Penal Code of any person or persons guilty of knowingly and maliciously making, reporting, or communicating any false alarm, or falsely reporting any act or fact situation in the city which causes a fire truck, police car, or other authorized emergency vehicle as defined in V.T.C.A., Transportation Code, section 541.201 to respond to said report or alarm. Not more than three hundred dollars ($300.00) will be paid for information leading to the arrest and final conviction of one (1) or more persons guilty of making such false alarm or report and when information is given by more than one (1) person leading to the arrest and final conviction of any person guilty of making a false alarm or report, then the reward of three hundred dollars ($300.00) will be prorated.

The city secretary is hereby authorized and instructed to have posted not less than three (3) placards at public places within the city, such placards to be eight inches (8") by twelve inches (12"), in wooden frames under glass, and with the following language printed thereon:

The City of Weimar, Texas will pay the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) to any person or persons furnishing information leading to the arrest and final conviction under the Texas Penal Code of any person or persons guilty of knowingly and maliciously making, reporting, or communicating any false alarm, or falsely reporting any act or fact situation in the City of Weimar which causes a fire truck or other authorized emergency vehicle as defined in V.T.C.A., Transportation Code, section 541.201 to respond to said report or alarm. No officer in the employ of the city, county or state, whose duty it is to detect violations of the law or to make arrests in connection therewith shall be entitled to a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person guilty of making a false alarm or report.
