Permission is hereby granted the Pennsylvania Telephone Company to occupy the streets and highways of the Borough of Jonestown, with poles and wire, as may be necessary for conducting its business and to maintain the same in good, safe and serviceable condition.

Authorizing the use of the streets of the Borough of Jonestown for the laying of water pipes by the Lebanon Valley Consolidated Water Supply Company and subject to certain conditions, privileges, regulations, and limitations and agreement on the part of the Borough of Jonestown to pay for a certain number of fire plugs or hydrants at specified prices. The water works is prepared to furnish water to the citizens of said Borough of Jonestown and to provide for fire protection, and the Council of said Borough of Jonestown are of the opinion that the supplying of water to the citizens of said Borough of Jonestown for domestic and manufacturing purposes and to the Borough for fire protection will be of advantage to the same, they therefore offer this ordinance as an inducement for the Company to introduce the water system into the Borough of Jonestown.

Granting consent and permission to the Bunker Hill Electric Company, a corporation duly incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to erect on above and under the streets, avenues and public thoroughfares of the Borough of Jonestown, for the purpose of supplying electricity for light, heat or power or any of them and regulating the manner of the construction and maintenance thereof, and prescribing the conditions and terms on which this franchise is granted.
