A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the city secretary, being marked and designated as the current edition of the International Fire Code, including appendix chapters A, B, C, D, F, G, H and I, as published and as may be revised in part or its entirety by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the fire code of the city, regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said fire code on file in the office of the city [secretary] are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this legislation, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 5.402 of this article.

The geographic limits referred to in certain sections of the International Fire Code are hereby established as follows:
Section 5704.2.9.6.1 (geographic limits in which the storage of class I and class II liquids in above-ground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited): Within the corporate limits of the city deemed hazardous for such storage by the fire marshal.
Section 5706.2.4.4 (geographic limits in which the storage of class I and class II liquids in above-ground tanks is prohibited): Within the corporate limits of the city.
Section 5806.2 (geographic limits in which the storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is prohibited): Within the corporate limits of the city.
Section 6104.2 (geographic limits in which the storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted for the protection of heavily populated or congested areas): Within the corporate limits of the city.
