Editor's note — Printed herein is the Charter of Wichita Falls, Texas, as adopted by referendum on March 20, 1920 and subsequently amended by referendums on April 9, 1928; April 7, 1931; July 27, 1934; February 9, 1937; December 5, 1950; April 2, 1977; April 7, 1979; April 2, 1983; May 7, 1988; and August 14, 1999. Amendments to the Charter after August 14, 1999, November 3, 2020, and through November 5, 2024 are indicated by parenthetical history notes following amended provisions. The absence of a history note indicates that the provision remains unchanged from the Charter as amended through August 14, 1999. Obvious misspellings have been corrected without notation.
