The Village Board, by separate resolution may, if they so desire, establish an appropriate system of setting, collecting, and processing fees for the review of landmark nominations and certificates of appropriateness.

Any person, group of persons, or organization who undertakes or causes an alteration, construction, demolition, or removal of any nominated or designated landmark without a valid certificate of appropriateness shall be in violation of this chapter; therefore, shall be punished by fine of $750 per violation. Each day such violation shall continue shall constitute a separate violation. The Village President may institute any appropriate action or proceeding in the name of the Village of Forrest to enjoin, correct or abate any violation in this chapter.
