Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to section 1.01.009.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell or offer for sale any fireworks of any kind or character within the city limits.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to set off, shoot or explode any fireworks of any kind of character within the city limits.

(a) 
The fire marshal is hereby authorized, empowered and instructed to make a survey within the city and report to the city council the location and description of any buildings which are dilapidated and constitute a fire hazard to surrounding property, setting forth in his or her report the reasons for his or her conclusion. The report shall be filed each six months on the condition of any similar buildings within the city.
(b) 
Upon receipt of the report by the fire marshal that any building or buildings are in a state of dilapidation as to constitute a danger or fire hazard, the city council shall, upon this report, instruct the city secretary to send notice by registered mail to the owner of the property as shown by the tax rolls of the city. The notice shall require the owner or owners to appear and answer within ten days after [the date] of the notice and show cause why the building or buildings shall not be either repaired or torn down.
(c) 
Upon the date set for hearing, the city council shall proceed to hear evidence and determine whether or not the building constitutes a nuisance within the meaning of this section and whether or not the building should be repaired or torn down.
(d) 
In the event the owner or owners shall not appear at the hearing or shall not elect to rebuild or tear down the building then the city is authorized and empowered to destroy the building and charge back against the owner of the lots the costs of the destruction, which costs shall be a lien upon the lots.
