(a)
The following regulations apply to R-2 districts.
(b)
The following uses are permitted:
(1)
Any use permitted in the R-1 district;
(2)
Two-family duplex, apartment, condominium, townhouse and other dwellings that are connected by a common wall, such as patio home and garden home;
(3)
HUD-code manufactured home; mobile home only if the mobile home is located in a mobile home park;
(4)
Kindergarten, play school or day nursery;
(5)
Telephone exchange (no business office);
(6)
Fire station;
(7)
Gas and electric public utility regulator stations, but the size, height and location of the stations to be fixed by the city council;
(8)
Accessory building (the accessory building shall not be used for commercial purposes including part-time business);
(9)
Hospital, clinic and convalescent home, excepting veterinary hospital and clinic;
(10)
Institutions of philanthropic nature other than penal or correctional institution;
(11)
Library and museum;
(12)
Boardinghouse and lodginghouse;
(13)
Fraternity, sorority, lodge, excepting those whose chief activities are services customarily carried on as a business; and
(14)
Nameplates and signs shall be attached flat to the walls, not exceeding six square feet in area, and with only direct nonintermittent lighting.
