Unauthorized persons are prohibited from access or entry upon or over that walkway constructed over and across the Brooklyn Dam. Said walkway is intended for use of authorized individuals only for the maintenance of the dam and setting boards to control water levels.

Pursuant to § 31.02, Wis. Stats., the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources may regulate and control the level of water in navigable waters or maintained by any dam. Accordingly, no person, unless authorized by the Town Board of the Town of Brooklyn, shall insert or remove or in any way alter those control boards of the Brooklyn Dam to raise or lower water levels, which shall be maintained according to DNR standards.
The graded and graveled area adjoining the Brooklyn Dam on its west bank is hereby designated a "fire lane" and is specifically designated for the use of fire trucks to access the dam area for the purpose of filling tanker or pumper trucks, whether for firefighting or training purposes. Parking of any nonemergency or unauthorized vehicles in this area is prohibited. Interference with accessibility to this firefighting water source (by dry hydrant) will be a violation of § 941.12(3), Wis. Stats., here adopted, and an offense against public health and safety.
In the event any portion of this chapter is or becomes invalid or illegal, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any person who violates any section of this chapter may be required to pay a forfeiture of not less than $50 nor more than $200 for a first violation and not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 for any subsequent violation.
