This subchapter will be known, and may be cited, as the City Engineer’s Ordinance of the City of Pflugerville, Texas.

(A)
Creation.
There is hereby created the office of City Engineer. The City Manager will supervise the City Engineer.
(B)
Qualifications.
The City Engineer must be a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas. The City Manager will supervise the City Engineer.
(C)
Funding.
(1)
Funds for the City Engineer will be allocated in the city budget for each fiscal year.
(2)
The City Manager will submit to the City Council a monthly statement of all the City Engineers receipts and disbursements in sufficient detail to show the office’s exact financial condition.
(3)
The City Manager will make timely recommendations to the City Council for the budgeting of the City Engineer’s funds in the preparation of the fiscal year budget.
