This subchapter will be known, and may be cited, as the Planning Department Ordinance of the City of Pflugerville, Texas.

For purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions will apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the city.
The Planning Department of the city.
The Director of the Planning Department of the city.

(A)
Creation.
There is hereby created a Planning Department of the city. The Planning Director will oversee the Department.
(B)
Director.
The position of Planning Director of the city is hereby established. The City Manager will supervise the Director.
(C)
Funding.
(1)
Funds for the operation of the Department will be allocated in the city budget for each fiscal year.
(2)
The City Manager will submit to the City Council and the Commission a monthly statement of all the Department’s receipts and disbursements in sufficient detail to show the Department’s exact financial condition.
(3)
The Commission will make timely recommendations to the City Council for the budgeting of the Department funds in the preparation of the fiscal year budget.
