Adoption.
The zoning ordinance, Ordinance 3368, adopted by the city on February 10, 1999, as updated by the city through Ordinance 4264, adopted October 7, 2010, and as subsequently amended, is included herein. Due to the nature of the zoning ordinance and the technicalities involved in adopting or amending it, such ordinance is printed herein as enacted and updated by the city, with only nonsubstantive formatting and style changes. Capitalization, punctuation and numbering of articles, sections and subsections have been retained. Amendments subsequent to Ordinance 4264 will be inserted in their proper place and denoted by a history note following the amended provisions. Obviously misspelled words have been corrected without notation. Any other material added for purposes of clarification is enclosed in brackets.

(Ordinance adopting Code)
Any structure erected for the purpose of occupancy as a single-family residence or thereafter occupied as single-family residence in a zoning district classification of MH, MD, or SF/MF shall:
(1) 
Be constructed in a manner to prevent the harborage and infestation of rodents between the ground and the building structure. If skirting is required, the skirting shall be fire resistant with necessary vents, screens and/or openings as approved by the building official;
(2) 
Be constructed in compliance with the then-current construction codes of the city, which shall include compliance as a HUD-code manufactured home as described in V.T.C.A., Occupations Code, chapter 1201, in the case of mobile homes or manufactured dwellings;
(3) 
Be completely immobilized. This shall require the removal of all axles and wheels, and anchoring to the ground (as approved by the building official) when applicable to a structure;
(4) 
Provide an impervious surface and adequate screening for all outside storage areas. Adequate storage area shall be provided to prevent unsightly accumulation of tools, machines and other implements in the open which would offend a person of reasonable sensibilities.
