Hereafter, any place used or maintained by any person, partnership, or corporation for the purpose of wrecking or disassembling of automobiles, trucks, tractors or machinery of any kind is hereby declared to be a public and common nuisance being obnoxious and offensive to the inhabitants of the City of Sundown because of its interference with the comfortable enjoyment of life and property of said inhabitants, and is prohibited within the city limits of the City of Sundown, Texas unless the same is conducted in the manner hereinafter stated.

Any person, partnership, or corporation desiring to use or maintain any property within the City of Sundown, Texas, for the purposes mentioned in Section 4.201 hereof shall make written application to the city clerk for a license; said application shall set forth the name and address of the applicant and a legal description of the property or premises upon which said business is conducted and the city clerk shall grant a license to operate to such business upon the applicant paying a fee as provided for in the fee schedule found in the appendix of this code. Such license shall expire on January 1st, next succeeding the date of its issuance, and a new license may be issued from year to year in like manner as is provided for in the original license.

Within six (6) months after an automobile, truck, tractor, or machinery has been brought into the junk yard for disassembling, the same must be dismantled and the body must be cut up into parts no larger than six feet by six feet, or such body must be hauled to the city dump yard.

Any person, partnership, or corporation granted a license as provided for in Section 4.202 hereof shall keep the premises used in the operation and maintenance of said business in a neat and orderly condition. The property and premises on which such business is conducted shall be enclosed by a tight board fence at least six feet high, and said fence shall be kept in a neatly painted condition.

The city council of the City of Sundown shall have the power to revoke the license provided for herein at any time for good cause, but only after notice has been given to the owner or owners of the business of a hearing to be held not less than ten days after the service of such notice.
