A. 
The Water Committee shall consist of three members of the Council to be elected by the Council at the regular meeting of the Council following the election of Mayor and Council for the Town.
B. 
The Water Committee shall work with the Mayor and Town staff in supervising and planning for the Town's water system. The duties of the Committee shall include but not be limited to the recording of water main location and size and planning for future extensions and improvements to the Town's water system. The Committee shall also make recommendations as to the management of the system when necessary.

The Water Committee shall preserve a map of the location of the mains, showing the course, size and length of each of them, and whenever there is any extension, there shall be marked on the map the place of such extension and the size and length of pipe used in making same. There shall be entered in a book a diagram of the location of all gates and other valves used in stopping the water from any portion of the works. There shall also be kept a record of all service taps showing the location of taps, distance from the curb box and size of tap.
