All permits shall be obtained at the rates and fees determined and listed within the city master rate and fee schedule.
(1) 
Fixed Pipe Suppression System Permit per system: This fee covers reviewing plans, inspecting, witnessing the testing of, and modification of fire extinguishing systems in kitchen vent hoods, ducts, paint booths, and similar systems.
(2) 
Sprinkler System Permit: The fee covers reviewing plans, inspecting, and witnessing the hydrostatic testing of sprinkler systems.
(A) 
For systems with up to 200 heads.
(B) 
For each additional head.
(C) 
Maximum fee.
(3) 
Fire Alarm System Permit: The fee covers reviewing plans, inspecting, witnessing the testing of new fire alarm systems in addition to existing systems.
(A) 
For systems with 50 devices or less (initiating and/or signaling devices).
(B) 
For each additional initiating and/or signaling device.
(C) 
Maximum fee.
(4) 
Smoke Control System Permit: This fee covers witnessing the testing of the buildings smoke control system.
(5) 
Ventilation Control System Permit:
(A) 
Kitchen Hood System: This fee covers reviewing plans, inspecting, and witnessing the testing of ventilation control system for commercial cooking operations.
(B) 
Paint Booth.
(6) 
Flammable and Combustible Liquid Storage Tanks Permit: This fee covers reviewing plans, inspecting, and witnessing tests on the installation, and or removal or repair of any flammable or combustible liquid storage tanks and/or system.
(7) 
Modification Permit: The fee covers reviewing plans, witnessing the testing of, inspecting, and approving limited modifications to existing systems listed below:
(A) 
Existing fixed pipe suppression system.
(B) 
Existing sprinkler system: Maximum addition of 20 heads allowed.
(C) 
Existing fire alarm system: Maximum of 10 initiating/signaling devices allowed.
(D) 
Existing smoke control system.
(E) 
Existing flammable or combustible liquids storage tank and/or system.
(8) 
Underground Fire Line, Standpipe/Water System Permit: This fee covers reviewing plans, witnessing the testing of, inspecting, and approving installed fire protection systems, such as underground fire lines and standpipes.
(9) 
Fire Flow Test Permit: This fee shall be assessed for flowing water through a fire hydrant or other appliance to assist with determining the required fire flow.
(10) 
Fire Pump.
(11) 
30-Day Burn Permit: This fee covers a required inspection of material prior to approval.
(12) 
Tent Permit.
(13) 
Licensed Facilities Inspection Permit: The fee below covers the fire safety inspection required by Texas Department of State Health Services for operation.

Foster and adoption home.
(B) 
Small facilities (less than 7 occupants) such as child and adult care centers, MHMR facilities, and group homes.
(C) 
Large child or adult care centers.
(D) 
Hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living.
(14) 
Mobile Food Vendor Permit: This fee covers the annual fire safety inspection.
(15) 
Reinspection/Retest: This fee shall be assessed for each reinspection/retest. All reinspection/retest fees shall be paid before any subsequent inspection/test is conducted.
(16) 
After-Hours Inspection: This additional fee shall be assessed for any inspection called after hours.
(17) 
Permit Extension: This fee shall be assessed for extension of permit. Only one extension allowed per permit.
(18) 
No Permit.
(19) 
Hazardous Materials Response and Operations: This fee covers response and operations of the city fire department at a hazardous materials incident.
(20) 
Fire Watch for Special Events: $ actual cost per hour.
(21) 
Rescue at Low Water Crossings: This fee shall be assessed to any individual that emergency personnel of the city rescues or attempts at a low water crossing or other areas that were barricaded or blocked due to high water.
