(a) Regular meetings.
Regular meetings of the town council shall be held on the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m., unless the time is otherwise modified by a posted agenda. The start time of regular meetings may be changed by resolution of the town council. All regular meetings of the town council will be held at Town Hall, 1941 E. Jeter Road, Bartonville, Texas, unless otherwise posted on the agenda to be held at a different location.
(b) Special meetings.
Special meetings may be called by the mayor or by any three (3) members of the council. The call for a special meeting shall be filed with the town secretary in written form, and the town secretary shall post notice thereof as provided by law.
(c) Workshop meetings.
Workshop meetings may be called using the same procedure required for special meetings. The purpose of the workshop meeting is to discuss or debate matters of interest, or to meet with a town board or commission or other group. These meetings are informational and no final action shall be taken.
(d) Emergency meetings.
In case of emergency or urgent public necessity, which shall be expressed in the notice of the meeting, an emergency meeting may be called by the mayor, or by three (3) members of the council, and it shall be sufficient if the notice is posted two (2) hours before the meeting is convened. (e) Executive meetings.
The council may meet in an executive meeting or session pursuant to the requirements of the Texas Open Meetings Act. (V.T.C.A., Government Code, chapter 551)
(f) Recessed meetings.
Any meeting of the council may be recessed to a later time, provided that no recess shall be for a longer period than until the next regular meeting.
