Words and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the Vehicle Code of Pennsylvania,[1] as now in force or as hereafter amended, enacted or reenacted, except in those instances where the context clearly indicates a different meaning. The singular shall include the plural and masculine shall include the feminine.

A.
The maximum speed limit on the entire length of T-516 (Old Stage Road) in the Township of Penn Forest shall be 35 miles per hour, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle on any part of T-516 ( Old Stage Road) at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour.
B.
The maximum speed limit of the entire length of T-419 (Forest Street) in the Township of Penn Forest shall be 25 miles per hour, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle on any part of T-419 (Forest Street) at a speed greater than 25 miles per hour.
The Supervisors are authorized to post, or cause to be posted, the maximum speed limit on T-516 (Old Stage Road) and T-419 (Forest Street) in accordance with § 226-2 (Maximum speed limit) and the Vehicle Code.
Any person violating this article is guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $2 per mile for each mile in excess of five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit.
All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, which are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
If any sentence, clause, section, or part of this article is for any reason found to be unconstitutional, illegal, or invalid, such unconstitutionality, illegality, or invalidity shall not affect, or impair, any of the remaining provisions, sentences, clauses, sections, or parts of this article. It is hereby declared as the intent of the Board of Supervisors of Penn Forest Township that this article would have been adopted had such unconstitutional, illegal or invalid sentence, clause, section, or part thereof, not been included herein.
This article shall become effective on July 11, 2005.

The following intersection is established as a stop intersection and an official stop sign shall be erected in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street (the intersecting or through street) on the first-named street (the stop street) in the direction indicated for this intersection. Every driver of a vehicle approaching the intersection on the first-named or stop street, in the direction indicated, shall stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(b) of the Vehicle Code,[1] and shall not proceed into or across the second-named or intersecting or through street until he has followed all applicable requirements of that section of the law.

The Supervisors are authorized to erect, or cause to be erected, an official stop sign on the road described in § 226-9 of this article in accordance with the Vehicle Code.
