(q) 
Fee for the handling and shipping of each animal suspected as rabid:
(1) 
Per animal: $20.00 to cover handling and shipping. This fee is in addition to the quarantine fee when applicable and must be paid in advance.
(2) 
Quarantine at animal shelter: $10.00 per day.
(3) 
Home quarantine: $25.00. Fee is refundable at the end of quarantine period if animal is found free of rabies.

A rental fee as follows will be charged for traps released to persons living outside the city limits and within the county:
(1) 
Small animal traps: $5.00, paid in advance, for each three-day rental period.
(2) 
Large animal traps: $7.50, paid in advance, for each three-day rental period.

The following miscellaneous fees shall be charged as indicated:
(1) 
Pickup of animal within the city limits by animal control from owner at owner’s request: $50.00.
(2) 
Animal brought to animal shelter by a resident of a participating governmental entity to be euthanized: $200.00.
(3) 
Animal brought to animal shelter by a resident of a nonparticipating governmental entity to be euthanized shall be assessed a service charge of $250.00 per animal, whether the nonresident be an individual, a business, or a governmental entity.
(4) 
Animal brought to animal shelter from outside of Hunt County or incorporated cities within Hunt County: $250.00.
