(a)
The terms
of office of the mayor and aldermen of the town shall be two-year
staggered terms of office. At each municipal election, the aldermen
elected thereat shall hold terms of office of two (2) years or until
their successors have qualified.
(b)
Vacancies
in the offices of mayor or alderman shall be filled by appointment
of the town council for the remainder of the unexpired term.
