Editor’s note–This chapter consists of the zoning ordinance, Ordinance 2003-09-15-1, adopted by the city on September 15, 2003, as amended. Section numbers, style, capitalization and formatting have been changed to be consistent with the remainder of the Code of Ordinances, and this will be maintained in future amendments to this chapter. The definitions in exhibit A of the zoning ordinance are included as section 22.02.001 of the Code of Ordinances. References to exhibit A have been changed to refer to section 22.02.001. Changes in the names of state agencies have been incorporated without notation. Obviously misspelled words have been corrected without notation. Except for these changes, such ordinance is printed herein as enacted and amended. Any other material added for purposes of clarification is enclosed in brackets.
This chapter shall be known and may
be cited as the zoning ordinance of the City of Lakeway, Texas.

The provisions of this chapter are
deemed to be necessary for the purpose of promoting the public health,
safety, morals, or general welfare and protecting the property of
the residents of the City of Lakeway, Texas.

A reference in this chapter to the
adoption of a zoning regulation or a zoning district boundary includes
the amendment, repeal, or other change of a regulation or boundary.

For the purposes of this chapter, the definitions of terms, phrases, words, and their derivations shall have the meaning and effect ascribed to them in section 22.02.001. Words used in this chapter and not defined in section 22.02.001 shall have their ordinarily accepted meaning.
