(a)
The redemption fee for all impounded dogs shall be $25.00 plus $5.00 per day that the dog was impounded.
(b)
The redemption fee for all impounded dogs that have been impounded once previously shall be $20.00 plus $10.00 per day that the dog was impounded.
(c)
The redemption fee for all impounded dogs that have been impounded more than twice previously shall be $30.00 plus $15.00 per day that the dog was impounded.

The permit fee to keep livestock in the City of Levelland shall be as follows:
(1)
A person who keeps cows or horses shall pay a fee of $5.00 per year or any fractional part thereof.
(2)
A person who keeps any other livestock as defined in this article shall pay a fee of $1.50 per year or any fractional part thereof.
(3)
Such fees shall be due and payable to the city secretary of the City of Levelland, Texas, and upon payment thereof said person shall receive a permit in writing to keep livestock in the City of Levelland, under the terms of this article herein defined.
(5)
The fees provided for herein are made necessary and are required on account of the great additional expense to the City of Levelland in the enforcement of the provisions of this health article.
(6)
In the event the application for a permit is denied by the health officer, the applicant shall have the right to appeal to the city council for a review of his case; and its decision shall be final in this matter. Such appeal shall be perfected by filing a written objection to the health officer's decision with the city secretary within ten days (10) days after the refusal of a permit.
(7)
The following establishments shall be exempt from the payment of fees specified in subsection (1) and (2) of this and shall be exempt from the distance specification in Chapter 2, Article 2.200, Section 2.202(a): (A) Authorized places where the slaughter of livestock is conducted; (B) veterinary hospitals and exercise pens used in connection therewith; (C) schools; (D) circuses, fairs, and carnivals.

The animal warden is hereby directed to collect from the owner or persons desiring the release of any animal taken up the sum of one dollar ($1.00) per head together with the sum of one dollar ($1.00) per day, for the length of time such animal is kept up.

Based on the totality of the circumstances and on verifiable facts documented by the animal control officer, the animal surrender fee may be waived for county or city residents who are surrendering animals that they do not own and the animal is being surrendered primarily for the purpose of getting the animal adopted or re-homed.

Sterilization fee: $100.00 plus microchip fee.
(d)
Multi-pet permit fee: $250.00.
