(a) 
Prohibited.
It shall be unlawful to throw, dump, or deposit any metal can or cans, bottle or bottles, glass, tacks, nails, boxes or cartons, rubbish or trash of any kind or nature, or other similar articles, in the streets, alleys, sidewalks, and on property adjacent thereto, within the city.
(b) 
Penalty.
Any violation of this section, upon conviction of same, shall be punishable by a fine in accordance with the general penalty provided in section 1.01.009 of this code.
