The town adopts subchapter E, “Dangerous Wild Animals,” of chapter 822 of the Texas Health and Safety Code, as amended. For purposes of this article, the town council hereby designates the town’s animal control officer as the animal registration agency.

A person who violates any provision of section 2.04.001 of this article relative to dangerous wild animals is guilty of a separate offense for each day or part of a day during which the violation is committed, continued or permitted. Each offense, upon conviction, is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00. Further, the town may seek a civil penalty and/or any other remedies afforded by section 822.114 of the Texas Health and Safety Code, as amended.
