Editor’s note–Printed herein is the home rule charter for the City of Murphy, Texas, adopted at an election held on February 7, 2004, and amended at an election held on November 2, 2010, as set out in ex. B of Ord. 10-11-861 adopted 11/15/10, and further amended at an election held on November 8, 2016, as set out in ex. B of Ord. 16-11-1026 adopted 11/17/16 and November 17, 2022, as set out in ex. B of Ord. 22-11-1290 adopted 11/17/22. Apart from minor nonsubstantive changes in style and formatting, the charter is reproduced as it appeared in the 2006 Code of Ordinances. Capitalization, punctuation and grammar have been retained. Obviously misspelled words have been corrected without notation. Material enclosed in brackets has been added for clarification. Amendments to the charter are indicated by a history note following the amended provision.
