The applicant shall pay to the secretary/authorized person a sum approved by city council as a registration fee. The registration may be done by mail for an additional fee of $1.00.

Neutered/spayed animals:

One-year registration: $6.00.
(B) 
Three-year registration: $17.00.
(2) 
Non-altered animals:

One-year registration: $12.00.
(B) 
Three-year registration: $34.00.
(3) 
Therapy/service animals: No fee. However, the owner must provide a certificate of vaccination and therapy/service registration certificate.
(4) 
Lost tag (reissue): $5.00.
(b) 
Late registration: For animals not registered within 60 days of residency or for failure to renew registration within 30 days of renewal date, owners will be subjected to a fine $10.00 per animal. They may be given ten working days to secure registration after which time the fine may be $30.00 per month per animal.
(c) 
Animal traps: $75.00 per hour.
(d) 
Dead animal pick-up: $45.00 per hour.
(e) 
Called out, no animal found: $75.00 per hour.
(f) 
Court appearance by animal control officer: $30.00 per hour.
(g) 
Reported biting: $45.00 per hour.
(h) 
Delivery of animal to entity outside of county: $55.00 per hour.

(a) 
A pick-up charge of $75.00 per hour, plus any charges assessed by the pound will be paid by the animal’s owner.
(b) 
An additional $12.00 registration fee shall be assessed for any dog that requires pick-up if the dog does not have current registration with the city. The owner must bring proof of current vaccination to the secretary/authorized person of the city and obtain a release to pick up their animal, and they will pay any charges incurred by the pound.

(a) 
The owner of a dangerous dog shall pay an annual fee of $60.00.
(b) 
If an owner of a registered dangerous dog sells or moves the dog to a new address within the city, he/she, not later than the 14th day after the date of sale or move, shall notify the animal control [officer] or his or her designee. On presentation by the current owner of the dangerous dog’s prior registration tag and payment of a fee of $50.00, the city shall issue a new registration tag to be placed on the dog’s collar.
