(a) Two
dollars and eighty-five cents ($2.85) as a start up fee.
(b) Forty
cents ($0.40) for each one-sixth (1/6) mile.
(c) Ten
dollars ($10.00) for each hour of waiting time or the proportionate
fraction thereof.
(d) Taxicab
operator may also negotiate contracts with public agencies in advance
and establish the fee in that manner for the persons meeting the eligibility
requirements. Copies of such agreement shall be filed with the city
attorney.

Each and every taxicab operator on the streets of the city shall
have affixed to the taxicab on the inside thereof, at a location in
plain view of any passenger therein, a placard, in a frame with a
transparent cover, setting out the maximum legal rates for taxicab
service, as hereinabove provided. Such rates shall be so shown thereon
as to be readily visible to, and readable by, any occupant of such
taxicab.

It shall be unlawful for the driver of any taxicab to demand
or receive a fee or charge for taxicab service in excess of the rates
hereinbefore specified, except for voluntary tips to the driver from
the passengers.
