(a)
The position of assistant city administrator is hereby established.
(b)
The assistant city administrator shall report directly to the city administrator.
(c)
The assistant city administrator may be a contractual or noncontractual employee, with such determination to be made by the city council.
(d)
The compensation of the assistant city administrator shall be set by the city council and may be modified, from time to time, by the city council.
(e)
The assistant city administrator may be removed pursuant to any contractual terms and/or conditions applicable, or if the assistant city administrator is not a contract employee, then dismissal may be conducted by the city administrator.
(f)
The assistant city administrator's duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1)
Develop and establish internal regulations, rules and procedures which the assistant city administrator deems necessary;
(2)
Oversee and assist with the preparation of notices, agendas and minutes for city council meetings and other boards of the city;
(3)
Assist with and oversee the processing of public information act requests and other requests for documents and information concerning the city;
(4)
Assist with and oversee the official recordkeeping of city documents;
(5)
Assist with and oversee the management and finances of the city in coordination with the city administrator and the city council; and
(6)
All such duties as may be prescribed by the city administrator.
