(a) 
The set times for all city park areas, except for City Lakes Park, is thirty minutes after sunrise and thirty minutes prior to sundown.
(b) 
Any person violating any provision of this section will be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not to exceed $200.00 upon conviction and court cost as established per state law. Before an officer can issue citation the person must get one verbal warning. Each day during or upon which said person should violate or continue violation of any provision of this section shall constitute a distinct and separate offense.

The pool shall open Memorial Day weekend in May of each year and shall remain open until the start of the city school year, and then only be open weekends through Labor Day of that year. The pool shall be closed on Mondays, except when a federal holiday falls on a Monday, then it shall be open on the Monday and close the following Tuesday. The hours of operation and fees will be under the discretion of the city manager, and the city manager has the authority to change this schedule at any time for any reason.

The following rules shall apply to the swimming pool:
(1) 
Children under 12 years of age must be escorted by a person 16 years of age or older. There must be one adult for every five children under 12 years of age.
(2) 
The pool manager or lifeguards have the authority to remove or suspend pool privileges for any safety violations, discipline problems, or violations of this division.
(3) 
Swimmers must wear a swimsuit, and no cut-offs will be allowed. T-shirts may be worn in the pool, but they must be white T-shirts in order to avoid water discoloration.
(4) 
Suntan oil or lotions may not be worn in the pool. Sunblock is permitted on swimmers in the pool.
(5) 
All swimmers must shower before initially entering the pool.
(6) 
No running, pushing, dunking, diving or horseplay is permitted. Violation is cause for removal from the swimming pool.
(7) 
No food, drinks, glass containers, large rafts or flotation devices are allowed in the pool. It shall be left to the discretion of the lifeguard on duty to determine when these items shall be removed from the area adjacent to the pool.
(8) 
No smoking is permitted in the pool facility. Smoking is permitted outside the fence only.
(9) 
The pool may be subject to closing at any time for any health or safety reason. The pool manager or the lifeguards have the authority to enforce all rules and regulations regarding the pool and adjacent area.
(10) 
A pool pass or gate fee must be paid by anyone in a swimsuit utilizing the pool or pool area.
(11) 
No lifeguard is on duty at any time in the wading pool. All children must be supervised by an adult. A gate fee is not required when supervising minors only, and not swimming.
(12) 
The patio area cannot be reserved during regular pool hours; it is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The patio area may be used during regular pool hours for picnics or parties.
(13) 
Trespassing inside the pool property outside of established and approved operating hours is expressly prohibited, and violators will be charged with a misdemeanor.
(14) 
The city manager will determine the days and hours for all pool activities.
(15) 
The city manager, any duly authorized law enforcement officer, the pool manager and/or pool lifeguards may impose a limit on the number of individuals in the pool at any time, for any reason.

The city manager has the statutory authority to revise pool fees at any time for any reason, and set fees for other uses of the pool that are not specifically itemized in this division.

(a) 
The municipal pool may be rented for parties and/or special events. Rental hours are available from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Pool passes do not apply to renting the pool. Fees are as provided in appendix A to this code.
(b) 
Parties and/or special events are required to have a minimum of one adult for every five children. If this condition is not met, the pool manager or lifeguard has the right to refuse entry to the facility.
(c) 
Lifeguards will be provided by the city, and they or the pool manager are in control of the pool area.
(d) 
Absolutely no alcoholic beverages will be allowed inside the pool facility at any time. Violation of this provision will result in the forfeiture of the remainder of the rented time, and could result in the loss of the renter’s deposit.
(e) 
Renters are responsible for the clean-up of the pool area, emptying trash cans, picking up litter, and for placing tables, chairs, etc., in their original locations. Failure to do so will cause the forfeiture of part or all of the deposit, and renters also agree to pay for any additional expenses the city deems necessary to cover any excessive cleaning, wear and/or damages as a result of the renter’s use of the swimming pool facility.
(f) 
Smoking is absolutely prohibited within the swimming pool facility. Violation of this provision will result in the forfeiture of the remainder of the rented time, and could result in the loss of the renter’s deposit.
