Beginning with the mayor’s term of office that commences
after the May 9, 2015, regular municipal election, the mayor of the
city shall be paid compensation in the amount of $0.00 biweekly (i.e.,
every two weeks), which amount is a reasonable salary for the office
of mayor.

(a)
For
the aldermen positions currently held by mayor pro tem Rodney Guthrie
and councilmember Greg Richards on the date of the adoption of this
section (September 15, 2014), beginning with the term of office that
commences after the May 9, 2015, regular municipal election, the aldermen
in those positions shall be paid compensation in the amount of $0.00
each calendar quarter, which amount is a reasonable salary for the
office of alderman.
(b)
For the aldermen positions currently held by councilmembers Steven Farmer, Paul Cockerham and Frank Jackson on the date of the adoption of this section (September 15, 2014), beginning with the term of office that commences after the May 15, 2016, regular municipal election, the aldermen in those positions shall be paid the same compensation as set forth in subsection (a) of this section, each calendar quarter, which amount is a reasonable salary for the office of alderman.
