The following fees shall be paid for any taps made by or contracted
under direction of the city:
(1) Water
taps.
After an supplication for water service has been
approved as to availability of water mains by the director of public
works, a tapping fee as listed below shall be paid to the city prior
to any taps being installed:
(D) Over 2" inside city**: Cost of material and labor.
(E) Other fees:
(ii) Bore: $1,000.00.
*Over 30 feet from main to meter - additional cost of material
and labor.
**Outside city limits add $300.00 for each tap fee.
(2) Sewer
taps.
After an application for service has been approved
as to availability of sanitary sewer mains by the director of public
works, a tapping fee shall be paid to the city prior to any taps being
installed, as follows:
(B) 6" and over, inside city**: Cost of material and labor.
(C) Other fees:
(i) Up to 4' deep. Over 4' deep: $100.00 per foot over 4.
(ii) Pavement cut: $650.00.
**Outside city limits add $300.00 for each tap fee.

(a) An
initial connection fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) will be collected
for new accounts with existing water and/or sewer service. This fee
is to set the account up in a new name.
(b) Customers
moving from one service location to another will not be required to
pay the initial connection fee again. Such customers will be responsible
for their final account balance at the original service location and
can be disconnected from service at their new residence for nonpayment
of the final balance of their original account.
(c) The
name to which an account is billed cannot be changed except at the
request of the person being billed.

The following monthly water rates shall apply to all residential
and commercial customers of the city utilities, regardless of being
inside or outside the city limits:
(1) Monthly
minimum charge for the first 2,000 gallons of metered water consumption
is: $28.05.
(2) Volume
charge for all consumption exceeding 2,000 gallons (per gallon):
(A) 2,001 to 5,000 gallons: $3.80 per thousand ($0.0034 per gallon).
(B) 5,001 to 9,000 gallons: $4.90 per thousand ($0.0044 per gallon).
(C) 9,001 to 20,000 gallons: $6.05 per thousand ($0.0054 per gallon).
(D) Above 20,000 gallons: $7.26 per thousand ($0.0064 per gallon).
(3) Bulk
water sales: $50.00 connect fee and $10.00 per thousand ($0.010 per
gallon).

The following monthly wastewater rates shall apply to all residential
and commercial customers of the city:
(1) Residential.
Monthly minimum charge: $29.15.
(2) Commercial.
(A) Monthly minimum charge (up to 2,000 gallons): $30.80.
(B) Above 2,000 gallons: $0.83 per 1,000 gallons of usage.

(a) Reconnect
fee:
(1) Normal business hours: $30.00.
(b) Insufficient
check fee: $40.00.

application fee: $25.00.

If utility service is discontinued for failure to timely pay
a bill or for violation of any other provision of this chapter, a
fee of $25.00, along with all past due amounts, shall be required
for each time a city employee reconnects service.

A charge of $25.00 shall be made for turning water off or on
at the customer’s request.

Service to any account where a broken lock is found will not
be restored until all charges, including charges for water received,
have been paid, together with a charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)
for damage to the lock and for service calls.

The following rate schedules shall apply:
(3) Dumpster:
The city will charge $15.00 over and above the invoice provided by
the contractor for the services rendered.
(4) Current
rates will become effective after required postings and advertisements
are met.
