A. 
In this article, except as herein otherwise defined, the terms used shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Vehicle Code of Pennsylvania.[1]

B. 
For the purpose and within the meaning of this article, the following definitions shall obtain:
HIGHWAY
Includes every way or place, of whatever nature, open to the use of the public as a matter of right for purposes of vehicular travel.
VEHICLE
Includes every device in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a public highway, excepting tractors, agricultural machinery and devices moved by human power, provided that a bicycle or a ridden animal shall be deemed a vehicle.
A. 
On each street designated in Schedule "A," vehicular traffic shall move only in the direction indicated.
B. 
A sign indicating the direction of movement of vehicular traffic shall be erected and maintained at every intersection where such movement is restricted.

If any part or parts of this article are for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this article.
Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this article, except those for which the penalty is fixed or limited in the Vehicle Code or in other sections of this article, shall, upon conviction before a Magisterial District Judge of Caernarvon Township, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $25 for each offense with costs and, in default of the payment of said fine and costs, said person or persons shall suffer imprisonment in the Berks County Prison for a period not to exceed 10 days.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances conflicting with the provisions of this article are hereby repealed insofar as they are inconsistent with this article, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of this article.
