(a) 
There is hereby created and established the position of code enforcement officer(s) to be known as the code enforcer.
(b) 
The code enforcement officer(s) shall be contracted by the city council. The code enforcement officer(s) shall hold the office of code enforcing at the pleasure of the city council and such code enforcement officer(s) shall give bond for the faithful performance of his/her duty as the city council may require. The compensation of the code enforcement officer(s) shall be set by the city council from time to time as they may deem expedient and recorded in the permanent minute books of the city.
(c) 
The code enforcement officer(s) shall be the sole code enforcement agency for the city.

There is hereby created and established a building and health inspector(s) to be known as the building inspector and/or health inspector.
(b) 
The building and health inspector(s) shall be contracted by the city council. The building and health inspector(s) shall hold the office of building and health inspections at the pleasure of the city council and such inspector(s) shall give bond for the faithful performance of his duty as the city council may require. The compensation of the building and health inspector(s) shall be set by the city council from time to time as they may deem expedient and recorded in the permanent minute books of the city.

The building and health inspector(s) shall be the sole inspection agency for the city.

There is hereby created and established the position of health and food service sanitation inspector to be known as the health inspector.
(b) 
The health inspector shall be contracted by the city council. The health inspector shall hold the office of health and food service sanitation inspector at the pleasure of the city council and such health inspector shall give bond for the faithful performance of his/her duty as the city council may require. The compensation of the health inspector shall be set by the city council from time to time as they may deem expedient and recorded in the permanent minute books of the city.
(c) 
The health inspector shall be the sole health and food service sanitation agency for the city.
