It is the desire of the Borough Council of the Borough of North Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and the Borough Council hereby signifies its intention to organize an authority under the Municipality Authorities Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.[1]

The name of the proposed authority shall be North Irwin Borough Municipal Authority.

Pursuant to said desire and intention of the Borough Council and in conformance with the terms and provisions of said Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 and its amendments,[1] the proposed Articles of Incorporation are hereby set forth in full, as follows:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
To: The Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
In compliance with requirements of the Municipality Authorities Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, and pursuant to Ordinance adopted by the municipal authorities of the Borough of North Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, signifying their desire and intention to form a Municipality Authority and that a Certificate of Incorporation be issued to said Authority, the Borough of North Irwin does hereby certify:
1.
The name of the Authority shall be North Irwin Borough Municipal Authority.
2.
The Authority is formed under the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.
3.
The following other Authorities have been organized under the provisions of this Act or the Act approved the 28th day of June, 1935, P.L. 463, and are in existence within said Borough.
4.
The name of the incorporating municipality is the Borough of North Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
5.
The names and addresses of the Mayor and the President of the Borough Council and of all its members are as follows: ...
6.
The names, addresses and terms of office of the first members of the Board of said Authority are: ...
all of whom are residents and citizens of the Borough of North Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Pursuant to said desire and intention of the Borough Council and in conformance with the terms and provisions of said Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 and its amendments,[1] the proposed Articles of Incorporation are attached hereto, made a part hereof.
ARTICLES OF AMENDMENT TO THE
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF
WESTERN WESTMORELAND MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY
To: The Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
In compliance with the requirements of the Municipality Authorities Act as amended, and pursuant to a Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority, signifying its desire and intention that the Articles of Incorporation of said Authority be amended, and pursuant to Ordinances duly enacted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Irwin; the Board of Commissioners of the Township of North Huntingdon; the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Penn; the Borough Council of the Borough of North Irwin; the Borough Council of the Borough of Manor; and the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Hempfield, all of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, consenting to said amendment and adopting such amendment, the Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority, desiring to amend its Articles of Incorporation, does hereby certify the following:
1.
The name of the Authority is:
The Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority.
2.
The address of the Authority's current registered office in this Commonwealth is: 12441 Route 993, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
3.
The Authority is formed under the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.
4.
The date of the Authority's incorporation is: February 24, 1972.
5.
The Amendment will be effective upon the filing of these Articles of Amendment in the Department of State.
6.
The Amendment was adopted by the Board of Directors of the Authority pursuant to Section 5605 of the Municipality Authorities Act.
7.
The amendment adopted by the Authority and approved for adoption by the Borough Council of the Borough of Irwin; the Board of Commissioners of the Township of North Huntingdon; the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Penn; the Borough Council of the Borough of North Irwin; the Borough Council of the Borough of Manor; and the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Hempfield; set forth in full, is as follows:
The original term of this Authority is hereby extended for an additional period of 30 years.
